7 billion pairs of ears. On average 96 pieces per square kilometre. Of course, counting only „active” human ears - a state according to the year 2012. The statistical section of the Earth's land is fraught with various kinds of sound receptors - insects, birds, those belonging to the mammals and those of the machines (it's not different in the aqueous environment). That what they're "listening closely to", the global acoustic environment, is an ideal subject for the afternoon discussion among artists and researchers of an mildly avant-garde temperament.
